Product Description

Newcolours Wood Stain is a product based on specialized water dispersion and micronized pigments. Easy to apply, it has a neutral smell and comes in interesting and fashionable colours. It accentuates the wood grain, giving it a rustic character.

Use for:

decorative colouring of wooden surfaces (e. g. furniture or paneling), wooden interior design elements (floors, parquets, stairs).

Properties:

Good pourability, wood grain accentuation, high resistance to light (indoors). Suitable for european wood varieties, especially recommended for oak, ash, or pine. The Wood Stain is well suited for colouring raw wood, as well as renovating old surfaces (after thorough cleaning).

How to paint:

Thoroughly mix the contents before use. Mixing should be continued until any lingering residue at the bottom of the container has dissolved. Always make a test colouring on the wood, and finish with the surface agent you’re intending to use, to verify the colour is satisfactory and compatible with the agent used. Sand down new wooden elements until the surface is sufficiently smooth.

Old surfaces should be sanded down, old varnish removed, until the surface is smooth. Do not use steel wool. Remove any dust before applying the wood stain. Apply along the wood grain directly onto the wood, using a flat paintbrush, a short bristle paint roller, a flannel paint pad, or an airbrush. Leave the stain for up to 1 minute, then remove excess product along the grain using a paper towel, a non-pilling cloth, or a dry paintbrush. Leave to dry for at least 5 hours. After this time the colourization can be repeated, if the result is too light.

Remember that the colour will get darker with every colourization. To avoid damaging the colourization, avoid sanding the surface down with sandpaper before applying the first layer of wood varnish or oil.

All wood stain colours can be mixed together, with the exception of “Whitened Oak”, as it contains a solvent protecting from tannins in oak wood.

Colouring should be done in ambient temperatures ranging from 10°C to 30°C.

Colourized elements should be finished with Newcolours Colourless Indoors Varnish or Newcolours Hard Oil in accordance with the instructions for use.

Washing tools:

Using water directly after completing the varnishing process.

BEFORE DRAWING THE PRODUCT FROM THE CONTAINER, MIX THE CONTENTS THOROUGHLY USING A STIRRER.

In hermetically sealed containers in temperatures from 5°C to 30°C. PROTECT FROM FREEZING.
